Full Bio
I am a native English speaker and English teacher based in Cambodia, with a professional background in law, business, and cross-border legal consultancy.
I hold an M.A. (Honours) degree from the University of Aberdeen and am a qualified English lawyer. Over the course of my legal career, I worked in the United Kingdom and spent approximately ten years in Moscow, where I managed, negotiated and documented corporate and finance transactions governed by English law.
Since 2017, I have worked in Cambodia as a legal consultant with leading legal and tax advisory firms. As I approach retirement from legal practice, I am transitioning into teaching, a field that combines my lifelong interest in language, communication and education.
I teach English to adults including university law students and business professionals. I have particular expertise in teaching business and legal English. I also have one academic year of teaching experience in a French lycée (secondary school).
My teaching style is patient, supportive, and practical, with an emphasis on building confidence and real-world communication skills.
In addition to English, I speak Russian and French and am currently learning Khmer.
For students interested in pursuing a career in law, I provide legal training and career advice.
